Taja Astar – Conductor

Taja Astar is a choir and orchestra conductor based in Västerås, Sweden. She leads, among others, Västerås' Men's Choir and Mikaelikören.
She studied orchestra conducting with Petter Sundkvist and choir conducting with Erik Westberg.
She also got tutoring with Morten Wensberg, Sami Ruusuvuori, Peter Sebastian Szilvay and Cathrine Winnes.
At the podium, Taja radiates positive energy that always makes the singers and players feel uplifted and make their best.
